In order to fully enjoy your experience, please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.
When you arrive, please take a moment to check in with our Holistic Coordinator.
We want to make sure that each of our guests have the most relaxing and stress-free visit possible.
One way to ensure this is by asking you to please turn your cell phone to vibrate mode when arriving at the salon. We understand everyone has emergencies and may need to use their cell phone at some point during their stay so we ask you to limit your calls to our entrance area or of course outside.
Our relaxation area is cozy and quaint and will only accommodate a few people, so please try to limit the number of people waiting for you during your appointment.
Salon FiG will provide the following complimentary services to all of our guests during each visit:
-a consultation before all salon and spa services
-recommendations for beauty and wellness products that will maximize and maintain the
results of your visit until your next visit based on your personal needs-knowledge of personal care products available in our Natural Essentials Shoppe
-an assortment of organic herbal teas, coffee, seasonal beverages and water
-A relaxing space, your home away from home for the length of your visit
We are a team building and educating environment. Our staff works together through their own creativity and individualism to create a growth inspired atmosphere. They are all committed to their specific area of expertise as well as serving you. If you are unhappy with a specific provider, please feel free to call and give us the opportunity to work through it with you. It may be something simple that can be remedied easily by the same provider or you may find a better fit with another. Either way, we want you to feel comfortable communicating with us.

Our entire staff works on a Level System, which measures education, experience and years of dedication. Those at higher levels are more often educators who have established a high demand. This encourages stability and allows our employees to grow and prosper based on years of loyalty and dedication to their guests and profession here at Salon FiG. We provide team members at every level to best suit the needs of our guests.
Salon FiG offers a Model Program for our active assistant stylists who are enrolled in the Salon FiG Associate Program. This program is reserved for current guests and is set up to help our staff achieve excellence in the area of haircuts and creative color. Not everyone can be a part of the program but it offers a great way to receive modestly priced haircuts and creative coloring options while helping educate our staff in skill, speed, and accuracy. All staff that performs these services are New Jersey State Board Certified, enrolled in the 38 week Salon FiG Associate Program and will be shadowed by a Manager during consultation and periodically through the service. On occasion more experienced staff will have a need for models for specific haircuts and coloring. Participants will be hand-picked depending on hair type and need. If interested in being considered, go to our contact page and submit the proper form. When models are needed, those chosen will be contacted.

is stored on any of our computers.
ALLERGIES & SENSITIVES
Salon FiG was started with a vision of keeping our staff healthier, along with the health of our guests. All guests with prior sensitivities to color are required to have a color patch test at least 24 hours prior to any color service.
Please notify us in advance of any allergies or sensitivities no matter how minor you may think they are.
Being a proud fume-free environment, Salon FiG does not perform certain services deemed too toxic for our environment, our staff and our guests. Perms, Keratins, Smoothing Treatments, Straightening Systems, and Artificial Nail Services are just an example of the services we do not offer here at Salon FiG.
Many of our guests have allergies and sensitivities and for that reason we reserve the right to refuse blow drying services to those who have received Keratin or Smoothing treatments in the last 6 months. When residue is remaining on the hair it omits a colorless gas into the air which we choose not to endure for the overall health of our environment. Guests who have partaken in these services elsewhere may still receive services here, however drying will have to take place under a hooded dryer, if available. Typically these types of treatments are very evident on the hair so please inform staff before services begin to avoid any issues.
TYPES OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED
Salon FiG accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, personal checks and cash. Salon FiG's Natural Essentials Shoppe also accepts all of the above forms of payment. $10 minimum on all credit charges.
A returned check or card transaction will result in
a $40 fee in addition to the amount of the services rendered or products
TIMELY ARRIVALS & CANCELLATIONS
We want your salon experience to be as enjoyable as possible. In order to give you the complete experience you deserve we ask our guests to arrive on time. We will do our best to ensure your appointment begins on time and is completed in a timely fashion.
The salon cannot guarantee services to guests that arrive later than 15 minutes. Please call to let us know if you are running late and we will do our best to accommodate.
In the event you need to cancel an appointment,
please call and reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
Certain services will require at least 48 hours notice for cancellation.
Salon FiG is an appointment based salon, therefore we have a strict cancellation policy for missed or short notice cancelled appointments. We require a credit card upon booking your appointment and if an appointment is missed or not cancelled within the appropriate timing your card will be charged 50% of the scheduled services for that day. The best way to avoid unnecessary charges is to give as much notice as possible when cancelling an appointment so our staff can fill those slots and not loose valuable time.
We encourage our guests to make their next
appointment while here in the salon. If
for some reason we do not have the time and date that is needed guests will be
added to our cancellation list. When an
appointment becomes available we will call as soon as possible with an

CHILDREN IN THE SALON
We love children and provide services for children of all ages. Well-behaved children are always welcome here at Salon FiG, however any salon environment can be a dangerous place for children. If a child is too young to sit patiently while services are being performed then we ask that other arrangements be made for them while you are receiving your services. This is for their safety as well as to allow other guests to enjoy their experience. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
SERVICE ANIMALS IN THE SALON
We are animal lovers here at Salon FiG, however many of our guests have extreme allergies to many things. For this reason we ask that only service animals (not emotional support animals) be brought into the salon. As much as we love all pets, according to State of NJ Board of Cosmetology and Board of Consumer Affairs no animals are allowed in a salon at any time due to the unsafe environment.
USE OF SALON EQUIPMENT & OUTSIDE PRODUCTS
Guests are never permitted to use salon equipment on their own due to New Jersey State Board Regulations.
Salon FiG is a healthier choice salon and spa offering a completely fume-free environment, for this reason we do not allow any products to be used that are not offered here at our space. Outside products can introduce harmful toxins into the air and due to the high volume of guests who visit us with allergies and sensitivities we can never allow an exception to this rule.
Salon FiG will gladly adjust any service you have received within the first week of the original visit. Please call as soon as possible to schedule.
We will exchange almost any product within 30 days of purchase for another product of the same value. Appliances and brushes of any kind can not be returned, no exceptions. All clearance items are final sale.
NO refund is given on gift certificates for any
reason. Gift certificates cannot be
redeemed for cash. Certificates may be
transferred to anyone. Gratuity is not
accepted on Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates are good for 1 YEAR from the time of purchase.
PRODUCT REFILL PROGRAM
Salon FiG offers a recycle and refill program on
every product in our Natural Essentials Shoppe.
Simply bring the empty item back with you at your next visit and receive a refill for $3.00 credit toward
that next purchase. Refills are
determined by ounces and not a specific fill line. If a product is not completely empty, not to
worry, you will only be charged for what we refill. Travel products are also a part of this
program and $1.00 will be credited toward your refill purchase of those as
well. It's a great way to save on good for you products and help save the environment.
Prices may vary depending on time and product used. We encourage all guests to solicit a more accurate price quote from their service provider during consultation before having services performed. We want our guests to feel comfortable with their pricing so they can relax and enjoy their experience.

Salon FiG offers a spa membership program to allow guests to save on spa services each and every month. The membership allows for special pricing on facials each month as well as 10% off all products in our Natural Essentials Shoppe. Please ask for more details.
