Exclusive Hair Extension Services

Do NOT wash hair for at least

24 hours after installation.

·         Brushing

          -Use only brush provided to you or a wet brush daily to remove any knots and tangles.​

          -Gather hair into a ponytail and securely hold close to the scalp, begin brushing from the ends, carefully working your way up to the scalp.

          -Brushing your hair before it gets wet will keep hair from tangling while washing.

·         Washing

          -Brush thoroughly before washing.​

          -Avoid using overly warm water.

          -Use only  shampoo and conditioner provided by Salon FiG

          -Shampoo at the scalp using a "Z" pattern not circular and do not flip head upside down.

          -Part hair and rinse all the way to the scalp

          -Conditioner from mid-shaft down to the tips and leave on for 2-3 minutes.  DO NOT add conditioner to the point of extension attachment.

          -Rinse thoroughly for each step.

·         Drying

          -Towel hair as much as possible before using a blow dryer.

          -Using leave-ins and heat protectors are a MUST.  Oils are acceptable as well, do not apply to extension attachment or at the root.  NO silicone based oils or products.

          -Rough dry with blow dryer, starting at the ends work your way up to the scalp with a round brush.  Make sure scalp and extensions are dry before going to bed.

·         Styling Tools

          -Our extensions are safe to use with thermal tools.  Use proper heat protectors and turn your heat down.

          -Keep all thermal tools away from point of attachment to keep extensions from fusing together.

​

·         Products

          -Use only professional grade products recommended by your Salon FiG beauty care professional.

​

·         Swimming

          -Before swimming wet your hair with fresh tap water and apply a small amount of leave-in conditioner to the ends.

          -Tie hair in a loose ponytail or braid.

          -Immediately after swimming rinse your hair with fresh water and spray with leave-in conditioner.

​

·         Sunscreen

          -Avoid using chemical based sunscreen as they can cause discoloration of your hair.  Please use mineral based only, which can be found in our Natural Essentials Shoppe.

·         Sleeping

          -Brush hair gently and loosely braid before sleeping.

          -DO NOT go to bed with wet hair, this will cause tangling close to the scalp.  If this occurs call and schedule an appointment immediately with your Salon FiG beauty care                professional.

·         Coloring

          -DO NOT attempt to color your extensions on your own.​​
